Incoming calls are all calls that originate from numbers outside the central line and that
originate from a provider or from a telephone line. For convenience, we’ll call the traditional
phone lines “providers”, since it works the same way for the NBlade station.
Regardless of the type of provider that sends the call to the station (SIP/IAX/ISDN PRI o BRI),
the incoming calls follow the same action as programmed into the “context” option in the
provider configuration menu.
There are two types of action:
1) Passing Selection
The call is directed to the internal tree, and then one must verify the existence of the
called number in the internal tree. If the number does no exist, the call will be
interrupted, or the call will be sent directly to the specified internal line.
It is possible (within the general parameters) to specify the root of the called number
(prefix) to make sure the central identifies the whole number passed from the provider
central.
Example:
I have a telephone central line with two internal lines: 8502 and 8432.
From outside I call the central through a provider set as Passing Selection, and the
number I’ve called is 06 423248502.
If within the general parameters I have chosen as a prefix the root number 0642324,
the central will verify the number 06 42324 8502
on the internal tree and the
corresponding phone will ring.
2) Incoming tree
An incoming tree is a sequence of actions that are followed out from the moment in
which a call comes in. From the Context menu of each provider it is possible to
associate this tree.
Example:
I have a central with a configured provider that has as its context the execution of a
tree, for convenience called Tree 1.
When the call comes in, the tree works in sequence, for example, it can:
- Respond to the call
- Play an audio announcement (Fonia)
- Send the call to an internal line
